Bluegrass Hall of Famers The Dillards, also known to be the Darlings became famous after introducing bluegrass music to millions of people. “Dueling Banjos”And “Dooley”Television “Andy Griffith Show,”Saturday night’s headliner is Missy Raines, a 10-time International Bluegrass Music Award-winner. Friday night is Missy Raines’ turn as the headliner. Bluegrass & Fried Chicken FestivalFriday through Saturday in the indoor Ozark Highlands Theatre at Ozark Folk Center State Park (1032 Park Ave. Mountain View).

Shows will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, respectively. They also feature Mountain View musicians Ozark Strangers and Spillwater Drive. The Ozark Legacy, The Ozark Legacy, and Sylamore special (featuring Lillyanne McCool, 18-year old National Banjo Champion, and Mary Parker, 17-year-old Arkansas Grand Champion Fiddler). Tickets are $50 for both Saturday and Friday, $35 on Saturday, and include access to the park’s artisan craft village and gardens. The works in charcoal exhibition of Marianna contemporary folk artist Cheryl McMickle is on display at the East Arkansas Community College Gallery at 1700 Newcastle Road in Forrest City, through Oct. 7. An artist reception will be held at 6:30 p.m. October 1 and Trace Adkins will perform in the EACC Fine Arts Center. Admission is free. Eight Northwest Arkansas artists (seven actors and a playwright), create and perform together. “Collision: When Visions Combine,”In a news release, it is described as “an exploration of process, exchange and play,”Saturday, 5-9 p.m. at the Momentary 507 S.E. E St., Bentonville. Each 15-minute set will be performed twice at different locations throughout the facility. This project is a collaboration between Creative Arkansas Community Hub & Exchange and Momentary. Admission is free. Details are available at
