Star Wars and The Elder Scrolls have both enjoyed great success over the years. The worlds in which their stories are set are very different. Star Wars is set in a scifi setting and The Elder Scrolls is set in a medieval environment. While most people might not think that combining the 2 popular franchises together would work, that didn’t stop one fan from creating their own Star Wars experience inside the vast open-world of Skyrim.
Star Wars Worlds was created by gg77. SkyrimMod somehow manages the blending of the two franchises. The look of the game is reminiscent of the Star Wars universe, but abilities such as the use of magic and the inventory system remind players that they’re still playing Skyrim. The mod contains many Star Wars characters, including Battle Droids, Astromechs, Jedi Knights, and Plo Koon. The player can also control Tusken Raiders as well as the Sith Lords Darth Vader, and Darth Maul.
The mod features a large number of Star Wars locations, including the bustling spaceport at Mos Eisley, the deserted Tatooine desert and the deadly Wampa-filled ice caves at Hoth. Players can also buy a blaster gun and use a lightsaber to combat instead of a blade. It is worth noting that despite including the spaceport from Mos Eisley, the mod doesn’t include the location’s iconic Cantina. That being said, it seems that the creator is continuing to update the mod, so there’s a chance that more content could be added in the future.
This Star Wars mod is just one of many available. Over the years, players have experimented with many mods to alter the game’s appearance and feel. The Star Wars Worlds in Skyrim mod allows players to visit iconic locations in a distant galaxy. However, there are many other total conversion mods that are popular in Skyrim. Middle-Earth Redone, which converts the game to the locations of J.R.R. Tolkien’s famous books such as the peaceful Shire and the Mines of Moria.
In addition, this isn’t the only new Star Wars content fans are looking forward to checking out. A new look was recently revealed to gamers by LEGO Star Wars: The SkyWalker Saga. In a Gamescom trailer, the developers showed off some stunning footage from the upcoming game. This game has loads of content, including missions from all 9 episodes. However, the trailer revealed the game was delayed to Spring next year.
It’s fun to see fans continue to reinvent games such as Skyrim years after release as these mods help keep older games interesting. Gamers can now download gg77’s mod from the Nexus to explore the combined worlds of Star Wars and Skyrim.
