However, it was soon discovered that the changes were not too drastic and that the game would still retain its original feel.
– In the 1.9 update (The Combat Update) new types of arrows were introduced into the game known as tipped and spectral arrows. Tipped arrows have effects on players. If someone is struck by them, they inflict an injury. Shields were also added to the game. They reduced your movement speed to crouching and made it less likely that arrows could cause damage. Additionally, melee damage and all damage from arrows were reduced. You can also combine your shield with a banner and it will dye your shield. A new kind of potion, known as lingering potions, was also added to the game. It lingers where you throw it. Also, swords were added to the game. ‘sweep attack’This can be used to hit multiple enemies. You can now hold items in your left handed with a new slot added to the game. The game’s end was also updated, so you can travel farther into it if your ender pearl is present. Also, igloos and ender pearls were added. This update also included mobs called shulkers, and skeleton horse.
Update 1.10 (also known as Frostburn Update) introduced the auto-jump feature. It makes it so that you automatically jump whenever you pass a block. A few blocks were also added to this game: magma blocks that could damage you if they were placed on you, bricks, nether wart and bone blocks. These blocks can also be found in bone structures. There were also three new mobs added to the game, including polar bears and rats. These were skeletons who spawn in snowy areas and inflict slowness through their arrows. The husk is the last mob to be added to the game. It is an alternative to the basic zombie, but it spawns in deserts. It is also immune to sunlight and inflicts hunger upon enemies it attacks. After this update, Endermen can now reach the Nether. Based on their locations, the roads were modified in villages as well.
